Laura has a way of making the characters feel real to me, her way of writing makes it to where I couldn’t put the book down even though I was choking back tears at many points, it’s a gut wrenching story that just leaves you pining for more, to know what could have been and what should have been, what could have been done differently, it leaves a whole world open for your imagination to ask “what if” it’s easy to read while also being so hard to get through, it flows so easily and is sincerely one of the best books I’ve ever read, it left me wanting to know what the future held for Autumn, Jack, Sylvie, and The mothers’. It’s truly an experience rather than a read, it makes it to where you feel the emotions the characters are feeling and Laura’s writing makes it feel like you are in the book rather than reading it. I feel like I also went through a small deriving process when Finny died and had to take a break from the book for a few minutes to cry, it’s that captivating, I feel as if I grieved and got better alongside the characters rather than just reading their story. It’s genuinely an amazing read and I would recommend to anyone wanting to have an emotional experience and a story of love and death.i howl that one day she can continue their story by following the baby’s point of view and what she hears about her dad and going through her own life wondering about him etc etc/ side note, I love the fact that side put a warning at the front, it’s very considerate and also slightly braces you for what might happen, it adds to the experience in the fact that if feels so real when reading, you need a warning. Well done, amazing book, imma stop yapping about it now
