I was skeptical after watching The Munsters, but this modern telling of The Addams Family, with Wednesday as the central character, is phenomenal. I don’t like binging, but I just kept watching due to its riveting storytelling and wonderful acting. I’m not a fanboy of Tim Burton, his stuff is usually a hit or Miss with me, but he certainly pegged Wednesday and the rest of the Addams spot on (I don’t know the writers/creators names off-hand, but props to them as well). However, the show does what Hollywood does best these days - catering to the woke crowd. In spite of the typical modern-day tropes; i.e. token lesbian couple (just because), strong feminist terminology (anti-patriarchy), anti-colonialism sentiments (religious zealots), the show is very entertaining.
