I was old enough to watch the original SWAT when I was a kid and it was cool. Although it was cancelled for being too 'violent', the show was ahead of its time. I like this new version and the fact that they updated it to reflect our current racial, sexual and political climate. Shemar Moore is a great lead actor and one of the producers of this show. The writing can be so-so on occasion, but the action sequences are top notch in my opinion. It's one of the few shows I actually watch in real-time.
