The profound nature of this play speaks to me on a transcendent level, it truly reaches my soul, fulfilling my hubris. Shakespeare created this play in a variety of contexts, a time period in which sexism and racism were the norm. However, Shakespeare plagiarised many of his ideas from Italian sources, slightly souring the play for me. Furthermore, the character of Iago is an incredibly well written villain, the proto type for modern villains such as Walter White, Voldemort and the anti hero Deadpool.
