Excellent special effects, stellar action sequences… but, an hour after watching it, I cannot name a single character. Felt more like a protracted trailer setting up the next entry than a movie itself. Characters were all hollow and distant. The creators failed to make the audience engage with the story in any way whatsoever. Wait to see if everyone likes the second part before investing time on this dry, emotionless waste of time. If you’re already a fan of the books, ignore everything I’ve said… you’ll love this.
