He thought the child was his, that’s why he was paying child support. Apparently by the end of the movie, the producer forgot this fact because they played it up like he obviously wanted to support this child knowing that it wasn’t his kid. He was dead after the DNA test, how was he supposed to know it was not his kid? Oh, and everyone forgot this fact because Jennifer Garner.Was going to sell her engagement ring to support the non-child of her cheating ex fiancé? I did enjoy the beginning of the movie and I thought the characters were engaging.
