My rating is fair. I also want you to know that I enjoy the game. This game is not overwhelming to the point where you have no Idea where to start. Hardcore MMO players will dislike this. Casual players will appreciate it. My rating is based on mechanics mostly. Combat feels off (and I don't know how to describe it exactly) and harvesting is too. Like you Gotta be right up something to pick it lol. Its minor but you know... I realize its simpler (or dumbed down) compared to traditional MMO's but honestly, you pay full price for a game - no subscription (which I love). Is the story great - no. Are the side quests similar - yes. Are most games like this YES. Do I think they will improve on this. I hope so! But overall, its not a bad game. Im soloing it. I don't have friends and most MMO's are unforgiving in that respect and I hate that. I can do most things solo. Which is great. When I need a group, I just inform chat and people show up (most times). No biggie. I like the war aspect. I say, get it, play a few hours, feel it out, if you don't like it ask for refund on steam. But I would not make a choice on other peoples reviews since its so mixed!!! Not everyone is a gaming expert (and those who think they are - are still playing the game (ask yourself why??). Remember that and this game is New World not ESO or WoW. Also, this game got me hooked upon getting it and I played 7 hrs the first day. I don't do that!! Ever. Its been so long that a game hooked me.
