The movie is a complete disaster! Disney changed a lot in the story line! Ariel couldn't even execute necessary strong emotions in a supposed to be heartfelt scenes. Her facial expression left the character emotionless. Ariel in the 1989 movie has a strong and happy personality. This one lacks acting skills! Ariel has multiracial sisters with the same mother and father! That's stupid! Eric couldn't sing as he is on the verge of cracking notes just to hit high ones. It is a total nuisance to the ears! He is a spoiled brat that left the kingdom on the hands of his adoptive mother to go travel. The Under the Sea and Kiss the Girl scenes lack sea creatures variation. Ursula and Eric only had an engagement party not a wedding. Ariel killed Ursula not Eric. They should have made Flounder a bit round in this movie. He looks flat! Eric doesn't even give any obvious respect to King Triton when they finally met. The "I love you father" scene should have been better if they stick to the "I love you Daddy" script. This live action movie doesn't give justice to the 1989 one which I really love! I don't understand why some people gave it a 5 star. Did they even watch the 1989 movie? There is no heart in that movie.
