I honestly thought this was a decent movie. Throughout the beginning and up to the ending was absolutely superb. Lots of thrill and heavy action kept me on the edge of my seat. The movie was very suspenseful and the action continues to grow with each scene. The opening scene was a very well thought out hook that left me wanting to watch more. However, the end was atrocious. This highly trained combat veteran turned mercenary basically took on the entirety of the army police force stationed within the city. Destroyed an APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) and survived several severe injuries almost inhibiting Chris Hemsworth's character from accomplishing his mission even though the mission went south and began to have a deep connection with the boy who he saw his own son through. I thought it was absolutely a terrible decision to have this well thought out character killed by a blood struck child sought out for revenge for being made a fool of. This child was meaningless to the plot and in my mind shouldn't of been the one to succeed in killing Chris Hemsworth's character. I understand that he was going to die and that his intention was to see his son again and he would have to die in order to do that, but his end should have been carried out with at least the honor that he deserves. The ending of any movie determines whether the entirety of the movie came together and this one sadly did not.
