It is a good show, but I can't help thinking it's basically Twilight with mermaids. It even takes place close to Forks, WA, and has one of the characters from Twilight in it (Gil Birmingham). Not bad overall, and as a lifelong mermaid lover, the "transformation" process makes the most sense of any mermaid mythos.
