Critics were not fair with this game. It’s polished, the mechanics are good, the graphics are excellent, the voice acting is awesome, the score and sound design is over the top outstanding reminiscent of Angelo Badlamenti, the puzzles are fun, the story is is very Lynchian, you have that classic Resident Evil mansion with you fog filled Silent Hill towns although Alone in the Dark predates all of that, over all there’s a lot of love that was put in this game and was very polished at launch. The creature and environment design is awesome. This game needs to be recognized and is worth paying full price at launch.
