As a Staten Islander I was spellbound by this book. I found it very real and horrific. Some errors noted- like 212 area code, non existent bus station, and Lane Theater which is a distance from Mariner's Harbor. I do remember resistance to group homes- a resistance and unrealistic fear which still exists on Staten Island.
