Don't invest too much into it. The film is great with crafting the fight scenes and the effects but the introduction of too many villains- Electro, Goblin and Rhino practically ruined the movie. The plot got too convoluted and complicated, too much of it such that it bores you. The point of a villain should be him attempting to achieve his interest in a controversial/unethical way but in this movie it seemed like Electro and Rhino were not even having a proper reason to hate Spider-Man? Too cheesy and cliche.
