First, I want to say that I read the books first awhile ago when they first came out. I agree with some of the other reviews in that this movie felt very rushed.
I was fine with the actors; it’s the story line that upsets me. I would have much rather watch a 2 and half hour long movie then watch a movie that tries to cram everything in in the last thirty minutes.
They leave out the big fire that happened on the college campus which led to Travis getting in trouble with the law. I know there was the fire in Vegas, but it had no where near the damages that were in the book. The college campus fire sets up the stage for the second book and “reappears” throughout the series.
It’s not the worst book to movie adaptation, but it’s certainly not the best either.
