I am a big fan of science fiction and anything intelligent. I like how motley crew-ish the cast is and how random yet purposeful the 'team' seems. Also, anyone hating on Alison Tolman is a programmed imbecile because finally a plus size, average looking woman is cast in a power position (and lands a hottie, watch and see) that is actually something that could happen in real life. Tv has been trying to match real life with fiction and has done a wicked good job with this show. It is witty, intelligent and filled with scientific probabilities that are just mind bending. I am up to date on the show, and I am happy with how it is progressing. Emergence is a standard cop/fbi show with a sci-fi twist. There are the usual clues and mystery to follow, plus lots of happenstance that occurs for either good or bad. It is a standard show, made with an interesting twist. I am sure the average mind cannot bend to fathom the possible truths this show gives... that ultimately we are just molecules and pile of dust (watch and see). This is a great show for minds who are intelligent, enjoy something different, and a good mystery. But if you are stuck on who is playing which role based on past castings, then you are of a small mind who cannot see an actor past your own ignorant biases.
