We used to like Evan but lately he seems to have become focused on getting a scoop. Today's question about the former AG's demotion and the possible scandal over SNC Lavalin were prime examples. Was Robert Five's article based on any kind of facts or based on rumour and innuendo? I would suggest that guessing and speculation should have no place on a credible news program. I was Returning Officer for 2 Federal Elections and the biggest challenge was trying to get folks to vote, Period. The reason always was,"I'm not going to vote because they are all the same". This constant search for scoops, scandals etc. reinforces this kind of thinking. I appreciate that politicians need to be held accountable but this constant hint at dishonesty and mischief without substantial proof creates nothing but disrespect for all politicians. I would consider some of Andrew Scheer's comments about Mr. Trudeau as attempts at character assassination. We really enjoy the opinions of the Panel members and guests.
