The space is amazing and intriguing to explore and the actors move beautifully, that’s where the good stuff ends. We were told to explore… so we did but if there’s a better ‘way’ to explore they should tell you. Lots of unconnected ‘stories’ were found but nothing particularly interesting or anything to sink your teeth into. It felt like we had not been told the point, we explored the set as if looking for clues but there wasn’t any. I gusss you can enjoy just looking but to be honest after a couple of hours or the same edgy tone, nothing really making sense and no narrative we were bored and tired. Everyone wears masks and is encouraged not to speak so you lose the ability to even try and enjoy it with friends by exploring together. I understand some would say I ‘didn’t get it’ or even uncultured but I came in wanting to really enjoy it but a flat, edgy tone lacking variety and no narrative or compelling stories just isn’t very fun. The interest goes when you realise it’s all the same. I wish they guided you a little more on how to enjoy it and make the most of it, we walked through a couple of doors and realised we were basically in another show and maybe that was a mistake? There are so many immersive things in london which are just more enjoyable.
