I usually don’t rate movies but my father had a saying “Good thing I didn’t waste good money on it.” Well I did waste good money on this movie. I recommend if you must see it watch it on video and save your ‘good’ money. It just the re-hashing of the old sci fi trick used by people who have run out of things to write: time travel and running into a not so good version of a future you. I guess I made the mistake of thinking it would be like the other movies but its not. I didn’t even find it particular ‘fun’. So much angst. Maybe young children are much more mature than I remember but aside from a few cute moments (the robot cat turning over so its stomach could be rubbed), I didn’t see the insight/wonder that would capture imagination of adults let alone young children.
