Hang in there for the twist. …it’s quite good and provocative and sexy. Kevin Kline is fun to watch and Cate Blanchette is made for these type of tragic roles. Forget the reviewers who say it’s not realistic.. Who needs that? This series / book is a strong commentary on gender views.

I just read 20 reviews and not one mention of the fabulous job Helena Bonham Carter did!! .. having raised two sons in the time period, the film’s messages about societal expectations are painfully necessary.
