A friend recommended this so I really wanted to enjoy it, but I gave up on it twice. The first attempt lasted 15 minutes, the second 30 minutes, and I feel relieved knowing there will not be a third attempt. The movie is pretty gory and the characters are unlikable. Its also boring, uncreative, and unfunny. Or maybe its just the opposite, a fantastic, deep film that is mostly not head-in-a-vice dull, but simply not a film for me? For reference, my recommending friend likes super hero films, long car chases, ultra violence (but not Tarantino), and generally dislikes comedies and classic films. I'm the opposite, so I guess no more recomendations from her.

Read the critic reviews carefully & don't waste 2 hours & 9 minutes of your life. I think the higher audience reviews might have been paid for, that's the only reason I can think of for why this movie is rated as high as it is. This was the most boring film I have ever watched. That does not mean its complex either. Its simple, slow, and tedious.
