It was clearly just made to make money. There’s so many things wrong with it, the girl playing Nancy made me laugh from the tragic acting, the storyline was obviously a sad attempt at trying to do something slightly different to the original, the pace of the film was slow and dreary and let’s not even talk about the guy playing freddie. He was the cherry on top of a terrible film he rly was. The main problem was it lacked the fear and tension that these films strike into you the reason they are so good is because of the creepy music, sinister imagery and the horrifying ideas, this film seemed like it was trying to make fun of all that and it felt more like a parody if anything, at some points I genuinely thought there would be a laughing audience like a sitcom, I thought this can’t be taking itself seriously? God knows what they were trying to do with this film but whatever it was they did not succeed
