I love this DLC. There are so many amazing things that it does really well. For example, the world. I love the verticality of the world. There are so many layers, like there’s always something above or below me. The world looks amazing, too. The cerulean coast is absolutely beautiful. The stone coffin fissure is a really cool level, and it calls me back to the dark souls series.
However, the thing that weighs the DLC down are the bossfights. The bossfights aren’t terrible, by any means. In fact, they’re creative and extremely cool to look at. However, they’re way too unbalanced. They don’t really seem to stop attacking. Even with a spirit summon, it seems I can only land about one attack before getting absolutely wailed on. I don’t have a skill issue. I’ve beaten DS3 (with DLC), Sekiro (All gauntlets), Hollow Knight (With path of pain), and Cuphead (All bosses). These bosses feel kind of just unfair. However, they are beatable (I’ve beaten Messmer, Metyr, Romina, Gaius, Rellana, and The Lion). So, if you don’t like hard bosses, this DLC isn’t for you.
Overall, great DLC. Would recommend.
