My review is based on my point of reference. If you grew up playing with Barbies, or had children growing up playing with Barbies, this movie touches on how far we have come with gender roles and yet how far we still need to go. Mixed in there is some really incredible humor. I am in my 50s and went to see it with my 20 year old daughter. We both laughed and cried and very much enjoyed the movie.
