Season one was amazing, it was paced perfectly, had a good mix of comedic and dramatic scenes and was very addicting to watch, even with 20 long episodes. The relationships and characteristics that were built, felt genuine and properly established.
I would very much recommend watching season one even for those not big fans of historic dramas.
However season 2 was quite a let down. Personally, there was no need for a second season and the story should’ve ended in s1 but it seems due to the popularity the staff quickly put together 10 more episodes. The first 8 episodes drag out the same issue for a long time with inconsistencies. And when it finally comes to the climax point in the last episode it is very rushed and poorly executed. Many things are overlooked and not explained. It seems they mostly relied on the popularity and romance scenes of the actors to promote this season to the audience. It seems many people have not noticed the lack of plot in this season. I would’ve also wished to see more development in Naksu’s character and maybe get proper revenge.
Overall the concept and plot is intriguing and unique to me. It is worth your time to watch season one and I’d assume watching season 2 for some could be comforting due to the familiar faces.
