I think now it’s a best time to recreate this movie. The casting was good yes, but there were so many sub plots that were personally feeling unnecessary. This is a very interesting case in itself and they could have made an amazing piece out of it. The story felt more focused on the detective’s rather than Elizebeth herself. Reality rooting for a remake here.

So I recently rewatched the movie and to be honest it feels like after years I am able to appreciate it more than ever. Yes history is in some ways glorified in wrong context but there are still a lot a person can learn and imply. I think now than ever we need movies like these that are very good in the art to subtle message delivery. I sometimes feel bad for gen-z and gen-alpha because never will never get to enjoy these movies with shit tons of ads and the anticipation for the next part of story after each ad.

I recently rewatched this movie. The very first time I saw it I was very young and clearly not the target audience. While rewatching it I noticed very small details used by writers to showcase the struggles of the characters which is just beautiful. Other than that I think we should talk about the toxic parenting too which is shown in the movie. How Ishaan’s family missed all the tell tell signs of dyslexia, ADHD and bullying. How can they not see how much the kid was struggling and just not being stubborn. Knowing deep in me that this is not just a great writing but truth of many is very scary. This movie till date is a good reminder for all parents to pay close attention to their kids mental health and needs and how much a supporting figure can make a change in their life.
