for starters, Rey was never a very enrapturing main character, and while I get and tolerate main character's having the strongest powers, there I NO explanation into reys powers and bad attempts to explain them, she's not a realistic character and overall isn't very deep, which I think drags down this really (for the most part) solid movie. the fighting was on point, the story was all right and the twist was actually really good, we got to see a few really good parts, such as the a very good end to a very good character, being kylo ren, and the giant spaceship battle at the end, but rey's character single handedly managed to stich a wrench directly in the middle of everything, to begin with, the end was had some good parts but felt kind of lazy, like the whole movie wanted everyone to remember it (which isn't a bad thing, most ends in movies want you to remember them) so it threw in a bunch of cameos in a turnaround end that came from nowhere feasible and was exclusively plot armor, speaking of plot armor, this episode and the whole series is completely full of plot convenience after plot convenience, which totally destroyed the fragile sense of realism the rey was already teetering on, and obliterated the story. honestly it really all is just plot armor and it makes me sad as such an avid star wars fan to watch the series end in this completely jumbled episode, that really all could have been avoided if rey was more realistic and all of these things actually took time to develop and had intricacy and thought put into them, she cant be strong just because she's a woman.
