I thought this was supposed to be a prequel to TOS Star Trek, yet the Enterprise in Stange New Worlds is is a cross between the Enterprise in the Star Trek Voyager movie and the Next Gen. Then we have Spock in a love seen in the first episode. I didn't know Vulcans kissed, at least they didn't in TOS. It is looking like this series will focus on the drama between the crew and less on discovering new worlds. One crew member had an experience with the Gorn but in the Original Series that life form had never been encountered until Kirk . It will be interesting to see if all the aliens they encounter speak English fluently considering the fact that supposedly the Enterprise is checking out strange new worlds.
