I liked the entire book except the ending. I love how beautifully the book is written but what I hated is the ending. Bernadette had absolutely no character development. It was like she was a victim of everything but she really wasn't. Literally nothing about her changed. She wasn't even a little guilty about all the lies and what she put her husband through

One of the worst books I have ever read in my life. It's like the book made a mockery out of racism. Tried to make the white lady so annoying but really she wasn't and she just wanted to help(?!) And all the characters are absolutely cringe. No character development. No plot. Don't waste your brain cells on this book
