Wow! Cinematography and the visual pleasure was lit. The whole movie took me back into the setup of an epic tale well captured. The end left me enthusiastic about the second part.
The first 20 minutes was disappointing because of the wrong cast of Rangapttinam Rangarani who couldn’t even deliver dialogues properly leaving audience cringed out. Her song was also embarrassing and didn’t match the movie, as if it was taken from a pathetic stage drama. Could have found a better way to rise the character of Valiban than showing Kellu Mallan and Mangottu Mallan look like jokers in the beginning. Rangarani’s cast and potrayal of Kellu Mallan and Mangott Mallan if corrected this would have been a movie loved by even the impatient audience who didn’t hesitate to shower bad reviews.
It is however commendable how Mangott Mallan’s character evolved over the second half. Could see a Shaguni in him.
Everything that seemed boring was relevant to set the plot and build the magnificence of the protagonist Vaaliban.
Ashaan brought an element of surprise.
Waiting for second part!
