I watched the first episode as I just wanted to see what this take on War of the worlds tripods was like. I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. There were none! I am not sure calling this War of the worlds actually helps this series but all the other names I could think of came off as cheesy. Think of it as an interesting character driven take on an alien attack on Earth instead, with a bleak and dark angle to it. Could be paced better and there was a few scenes I bumped against. Really liked the French/English take on it all for a change.

Am at chapter 8 and loving it so far. Really is something quite special, when you get down to it. Have now finished it. I feel my rating is justified, if the game bites you, it will really bite, otherwise you will likely not enjoy it. That ending though... had such a satisfying payoff. I am now working through things I missed in the post game play. Thanks Kojima!
