Ok, I shouldn't have read all these reviews after only seeing episode 1, but I couldn't help it. I really wanted to see 2nd season of "Severance" but I guess that's going to be another couple of years. This looked like another stupid alien invasion movie, but I watched trailer. The trailer was great! Awesome music, beautiful shots, well-edited etc.. I'm an editor and photographer and I know when something is well-crafted, so I gave it a try. Within the first twenty minutes I was pleasantly surprised to see I was watching a movie crafted by an adult. Cinematography, lighting, music, mood and acting was top-notch. I thought I was going to have to sit through a lot of boring, stupid characters (ie Fear The Walking Dead) that I hope the aliens would eat. Again, I was pleasantly surprised that I actually cared about these characters and found their stories interesting. It was also nice hearing a composer score a show who knew what they were doing. I'm loving it so far and am about to watch episode 1 again, before I go to next episode. I can't believe it's only getting 48 percent on rottentomatoes. I can only attribute it to the fact that most of the world is stupid.
