I can’t agree with most comments. It borrows bits from Shakespeare and a lot that isn’t. If they borrow Shakespeares characters then they should at least have been true to those characters. John Falstaff was completely dropped from Hal’s life when he became King. He certainly did not become his mentor and certainly did not fight alongside him in France.
