My husband and I listened to audiobook of this on a trip across the country on Rt 80– the Lincoln Highway! We both loved it! Each and every sentence is a part of the amazing tapestry of this story. The voices for the different characters ( each chapter is the perspective of a different character) made it seem like we were listening to a play.
