Outstanding detail illustrating how the North was able to organize the use of railroads, steam powered shipping and land transport to support their armies as they drove into the South and end the war. People don't realize that with the advent of steam powered transportation the North was able to harness the industrial potential and provide essential, bullets, beans and bandages and get to the front lines. The South failed miserably.
