I bought this game on a whim. The gameplay and visual graphics looked stunning and well made so I thought it couldn't hurt to experience a samurai game since I have not played very many besides the triple A-titles. I soon found that the this was more than just a good looking game but a well written one as well. I may just be an emotional person but certain stories, especially the climax of the main quest line, had me wiping tears away. You grow fondness and disdain to those who are portayed as such and while the stories and legends leave you wanting more. Another game you end up putting down once finished and not knowing what to do with yourself after.
I know perfect rating are thrown about so easily and I know there were times I saw some graphical errors but this game deserves more recognition and the glitches can be overlooked (occasional, lip-sync, animation and traversal glitches occur on very rarely). Also I have heard that the difficulty could be a problem but once you get into the flow of the combat, it becomes second nature. I wish I utilized the arsenal more often as well.
Overall, I highly recommend this game. Its beautiful, fun and well written. It's one of the few games I have 100 percent-ed.
