I found it to be a very disturbing movie, riddled with sexual harassment, sexual abuse and racism. The lead male character Jake Ryan had the potential to be heart throb material, but most definitely lost that title when he turns over his drunk girlfriend to be sexually assaulted by the geek boy. Not cool. I get that 1984 was a different time. But holy hera, that was rough. And I don’t understand how people can say it was a good movie.
