Having read the book, I definitely understand what a massive undertaking this must have been. There is just so much plot, and so much of it seems unrelated or tangential, that even for a six hour miniseries some things inevitably would need to be streamlined. I actually enjoyed the (very few) changes to the source material, which was mostly limited to the removal of a few characters from the novel, such as Chief White Halfoat and Hungry Joe. This series hits most of the remaining plot points, though, and boy was it exciting to watch! I took in the whole thing in one sitting and I was never bored once. Some reviewers have said that this series doesn't capture the satiric nature and tone of the novel, but I thought that much of it remained intact. Christopher Abbot as Yossarian was a stellar casting choice, and he truly led the series with his portrayal of Yossarian's descent into madness. I enjoyed the overall production and would definitely recommend!
