Agree 100% with Jarred Marlatt’s review and he said it much better than I could have. I kept thinking I had a rough draft of the book, because sentences would end abruptly without completion and there were many sentences in the actual text that looked like they were placed as a reminder to the writer to include certain items. It was disconcerting and I still, even after finishing the book, wonder if I got a misprint or a draft of the book. If these notes were supposed to be included, my only question is, “why?” This style, if you can call it that, added nothing to the story. Spoiler alert: The ending was not satisfying, and the book ended just as abruptly as many of the author’s sentences.
