A good film. Worth watching. It could have been faster at some places. The main actors were alright. But the others on the side like the ones in the palace, village, the fishermen, fellow young Rishis in ashrama etc were not upto the mark. Allu Arha was a disappointment on screen. The face lacked the expressions matching the dialogues written for her. Any other real junior artist with prior camera or theatre exposure could have done a far better job. The script is alright. Screenplay and story telling are above average. VFX was fine too. Glad that they didn't change the story line to make it relevant to today's times. It's authentic. Overall worth the watch I'd say.

Performance wise and plot wise it's a beautiful show. But, there's a little set back on the way it's executed. There're a little unjustified low moments. Like the mother always thinking about my son likes that, my son likes this. And she kept ignoring or looking down upon the likes and intersts of the daughter. There was no scene for actual realisation of Kaveri's character to realise this herself and apologize to the daughter and bring about a change. There's several unjust moments like this. The background score is good, but the songs in between don't seem fresh, unique and authentic. Also you can sense that the story telling is lagging in certain places. I liked the dialogues, at least most of it. Akshatha Rao as Deva did a not so great job I must say. Looking at how she was in the past, after whatever happened she could be angry, disappointed and even show a little aggressive. That's how her character sketch is. But the actor portrayed it like an arrogant person trying to show dominance rather than showing shattering of pride and trust in her eyes. The actress has definitely done good job before. But here she failed to understand the scope of the character. Lakshmi amma has done an excellent job on the other hand. On the dubbing side i think they've done the worst possible work in all of the non original languages. The ending filled with twists seems to be forced into the plot to add curiousity to the next season. Unfortunately didn't serve the purpose. Overall it's a feel good show with decent plot and acting with an average execution.

Rating - 2.5/5 After a series of disappointing watches from Bollywood I gave this one a shot. The movie isn't too miserable and is a one time watch. If you're looking for something light hearted and warm to watch you can park this one for when you feel like watching something serious, educating or dark. Positives: 1. Excellent performances by Shefali Shah and Roshan Matthew 2. Top notch background score by Prashant Pillai 3. Costumes, set, styling and makeup fit the premise of the plot really well 4. Executing bearable dark comedy with a topic as sensitive as domestic violence Drawbacks: 1. Alia Bhatt's performance - it's starting to get monotonous and feels like she's playing the same person just with different names in all her films lately (expressions, body language and personality wise there's no display of variation even when the sketch and background of the characters are different in different films). This is taking away the freshness from her films. 2. The first half seems like it's just being repetitive and going in circles adding to the already slow pace of the film. 3. The plot that's expected to be realistic taking illogical twists here and there. In all it's a good effort by the whole team. Although it lacks entertainment, they have not taken the subject lightly with the intention of making it a commercial piece of work (unlike jug jug jeeyo). Appreciate the whole team for that.

Thank God i watched it on OTT. Sheer waste of time it was (although i skipped most of the 2nd half of the film). It was a very strong message the makers wanted to deliver. The motive was to mention how career management and managing your personal lives need to be of equal importance in a marriage - be it a male or a female. It tried to convey that trust and mutual respect are even more important than love in a marriage. Also tries to speak of having ego and not seeming to care at all will lead to a meaningless marriage. But did they succeeded in the attempt? NO. So many misfit jokes. Showcasing a serious cheating case in a comedic way. Bad performances. Illogical twists and turns. Songs starting to play out of nowhere. Twists have been added only to deliberately make the plot unpredictable. All in all it's a bad viewing experience. You can easily skip this one.
