Is zero stars possible ? How could anybody give this more ? The writing is terrible. The acting is not much better. No character depth, no plot progression. 150mm for that ? I have never directed and I could do something better......do not spend any time on this at all. A root canal would be a more enjoyable endeavour

Avoid at all costs. Avoid at all costs. This is a terrible movie. Dull story, flashbacks to the original with some sort of sepia filter, endless “matrix style” fight scenes - I mean really how many times is it necessary to be smashed in the head without any effect on the smashee…..that’s just boring (am I getting old ?). Spend your money on a root canal - it will be considerably more entertaining.

Apart from the beautiful visuals and great soundtrack what I really love about this movie is the fact that it shows, rather than tells and yet remains true to the book. That is something I thought would be hard if not impossible to do and previous incarnations faired poorly in that regard. I watched with my wife who has not read the book and she loved it too. Great, great movie.
