This book got so many great reviews and I waited weeks to listen to it (Libby audio book). I didn’t find it funny or well written and it was so annoying that I gave up about 2/3 of the way. I didn’t care why they were murdered, there was no tension either good or bad. The murder club members seem to delight in murders as providing a fun pastime, found them all off putting and smug. I have no idea who Robert Osman is but he seems to be well regarded. Won’t waste my time on anything else by him either if this is his “best”. There was a lot of “we are old and quirky and you will adore us and forgive us anything”. No thank you.
A good mystery will make you care about the victims, even if just in how it affects their family. This book fails in that.
