This movie was trash. I loved GOTG 1 and 2 because they were fun, funky, lighthearted, with great action, and great soundtracks. I was hoping for more of that this time around, but left the theater very disappointed, and even unsettled. The movie fixates on a gruesome and cruel backstory for Rocket (there were more appropriate ways to tell this backstory that would have fit with the franchise), the humor was awful.... like not funny at all, and even the music choices were straight garbage (in direct contrast to the first two films). The Beastie Boys hallway scene was the only payoff, but after enduring so much garbage, even that fell pretty flat for me. Overall would definitely NOT recommend, and would especially warn against seeing this if you are hoping for anything like GOTG 1 and 2.
