Joaquin Phoenix undoubtedly displayed a phenomenal Joker character. This movie gives an insight to a dark, gruesome history of the Joker and provides an example of the daily struggles those who suffer from mental illness experience. I do not recommend for children. I will watch this over and over again. Beautifully executed.
