A definite watch. Specially for the effective portrayal of the seemingly unexplainable experiences, both of a society and an individual. A fantastic storytelling employed through precise imageries. It is about the conflict around forests laws and land rights, which has been very accurately captured and conveyed. Anyone who wishes to understand the sensitivity of such conflicts can learn a lot. If you liked Karnan(Mari Selvaraj, 2021), you'll definitely enjoy Kantara. I found both movies at a similar stand for multiple points. However, I wish I understood the native language for a truly immersive experience. If you're looking for something deep and thoughtful, this one would be a good choice.
