Mixed feelings as it isn’t the AM we’re all used to with the iconic guitar riffs or drums however this album slows a lot of it down. It by far adds to a maturity to this album compared to previous releases. It’s a sort of way Alex Turner has decided to move from one genre to the other and he’s wrote these songs well. They can be draggy compared to the fast and loud were used to but songs like ‘Sculptures Of Anything goes’ ‘Body Paint’ and ‘There’d Better Be A Mirror Ball’ all have a unique feeling to them that you can’t really dislike. It feels like the actual band side has taken a step back and let Turner let his artistic view on maturity take a hold.
