Unexpected emotional intensity. I found myself leaning forward in anticipation and completely absorbed. Don't allow any distractions when you experience this film. Lily James is especially fine and Ralph Fiennes accent is superb.

Tom Burke is the absolute embodiment of Strike as I imagined from the books. He adds a kindness to the character that was missing in the books, and has improved Strike considerably. Very true to the books.
