It’s like they tried to make “The Devil Wears Prada”, but it went worse and outdated.
The main character lies the whole movie, like big time lies, and gets away with everything. And gets everything, exactly as she wants.
They tried to show how hard she was working to advance her career. But did they try? The only thing she actually did was that art catalog with prices. What ACTUALLY got her boss attention were the tickets she got through Will. And the dinner reservation— through Will as well.
Funny enough, these two color dresses pitches-assistants were the ones who worked their buffs off. Knowing every detail of Miranda’s — oh, sorry— Peter Parker’s aunt’s schedule, arranging meetings, being with the boss 24/7.
I mean, yeah, they’re horrible. But hard working, especially compared with the main character.
“You can’t always get what you want” was unofficiall “The Devil Wears Prada” motto. And the main character didn’t get everything she wanted: she worked extremely hard and in a very stressful environment for long time, lost her boyfriend and friends and family, to finally realize she can’t do it anymore, she wants to live differently.
The only reward was the strong recommendation for the job she actually wanted. And she needed to work hard again to repair all the relationships she lost, to end up with the balanced life again.
What did the main character here?
Lied, walked over others, didn’t do any extra things. And won everything.
Do better, guys, do better.
