If you watch this as a sci-fi movie you'll be disappointed. If you watch because you get a kick from really bad cheesy horror films then please go for it. I actually found myself laughing so much at some of the corny death scenes, particularly the floating head head at the end trying to scare people. See it as a dark comedy and it's a laugh.
As a sci-fi movie...oh dear oh dear..
Special effects, what special effects, where? The whole movie takes place in one room that's had some green mould and slime thrown around it. A few flashing light bulbs once every 10 minutes is the best you'll get. Seriously if you think that counts as special effects you should visit some social housing in London, you can get that stuff for free there it's everywhere(!) There's literally one CGI clip of an alien space ship that they replay over and over like an 80s budget tv series.
The plot: theres one mystery only, why are they all there on this alien ship? Then they tell you that in the first half an hour, the remaining hour you're just sat there watching people scream every time a cameraman wobbles a slimy tentacle at the actors. It's hilarious!!
The ending: (plot spoiler alert) at the end, unbelievably, they just play half the scenes in reverse. Like if you pressed rewind on an old VHS tape! Hahahaha. That's the ending. Its supposed to symbolize that everything being fixed. No reason given how or why. So funny. Next time I watch a horror film I'll just press the rewind button at the end and pretend everythings now rosy.
In summary, I bet the people who made this film blew the budget on bonuses for themselves and told the actors to go sit in a basement somewhere and just pretend they've been abducted or something. Wow. Like, wow.
