In terms of cinematics, acting, choreography, and music, Rebel Moon delivers. Where it gets major dings is the cliche character arcs and predictability. It felt like a bunch of stolen plots from various movies. Character is kidnapped as a child by a powerful leader who becomes a father figure; sounds like Gammorah and Thanos. They go and search for warriors who are so easily persuaded to join them; sounds like Magnificent Seven. Questionable criminal they happen across wants to help them then betrays them; predictable from introduction. The main antagonist gives off Nazi vibes; come on. Only character they recruit who has a family they leave dies. Everything was good, but the plot.
