Atrocious. Historical fantasy at it worst. Highly inaccurate, which was completely avoidable if only the writers and producer had bothered to read the enjoyable, historically accurate book it claims to be based on. Marginal acting as well. On the “plus side,” the writers and producer have created a miracle - a show casting Edwin M. Stanton (tall, handsome, and beardless, no less!) as a lovable, sympathetic hero. Thousands who actually knew him are spinning in their graves.
